The Working Together Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Mental Health and Wellbeing Principles and Practice has just been released. The book is intended for staff and students working in areas that support Indigenous mental health and wellbeing.

INDIGENOUS HEALTH INCENTIVE

The PBS Co-payment measure now allows Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders who have, or are at risk of having a chronic disease, to get medication free (if they have a concession card) or for under $6 if without a concession card.

Puggy Hunter Scholarships application period open

Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander students who are (or intend to be) studying health at an undergraduate level at university or at TAFE can apply until 20 August2010. Scholarships are worth up $15,000 per year for full time students.
